Sociology is the study of how social structures and interactions influence human life. In this major, you will investigate the origins, functions, and challenges of society, with a focus on relationships between people, groups, classes, organizations, and cultures. Students who earn a B.A. in Sociology will get a better grasp of social organizations and behaviors spanning from small groups to nations, as well as the effects they have on people’s lives.
