In collaboration with the Polish National Commission for UNESCO and the UNESCO Chair for Science, Technology, and Engineering at AGH University of Krakow, thirty (30) fellowships are being offered to candidates from developing Member States. These fellowships aim to foster human resource capacities and promote international understanding and friendship among nations.
Duration and Place of Fellowship Study: The fellowship programme spans six months, from October 1st, 2024, to March 31st, 2025, at the UNESCO AGH Chair located at AGH University of Krakow, Poland.
Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must fulfill specific criteria outlined in Annex III, including possessing relevant academic qualifications and meeting regional eligibility requirements as specified in Annex IV.
How to Apply:
- Review Annex II and Annex III to understand eligibility requirements and application procedures.
- Contact your country’s National Commission for UNESCO to inquire about national-level application procedures.
- Prepare your application, including supporting documents listed in Annex II, and submit them to your National Commission for UNESCO.
- Once endorsed by your National Commission, submit your application to agh.poland@unesco.org by May 10th, 2024, 12pm Paris time.
Facilities Offered:
- Free tuition and access to university facilities.
- Monthly stipends of 1800 PLN for BSc students and 2200 PLN for MSc students.
- Special allowance upon arrival to cover various expenses related to your stay in Krakow.
- International travel expenses covered by UNESCO.
- Health insurance provided by UNESCO.
- One-time special pocket allowance of US$120.
VISA Requirements: Fellows are responsible for obtaining their entry visas to Poland. Assistance will be provided if no Polish Embassy or Consulate exists in their home country.
