Program Overview
The Atlantic Dialogues Emerging Leaders (ADEL) Program 2024 is a prestigious initiative by the Policy Center for the New South (PCNS) aimed at fostering leadership among young professionals from around the Atlantic Basin. Held in the vibrant city of Rabat, Morocco, this program offers a unique opportunity for emerging leaders to engage in high-level discussions and networking opportunities.
Benefits of the ADEL Program
- Travel and Accommodation: PCNS will cover economy class airfare for participants to and from Morocco. Local transportation, catering, and hotel accommodation will also be provided for the duration of the program and conference.
- Extended Participation: After the ADEL program, selected participants will join the Atlantic Dialogues Conference as attendees, further enriching their experience and expanding their networks.
Eligibility Criteria
- Age Requirement: Participants must be between 25 and 35 years old.
- Citizenship: Applicants must be citizens of countries in Africa, North America, South America, Central America, Europe, or the Caribbean, with priority given to those from countries bordering the Atlantic Basin. Residents of these regions who hold citizenship elsewhere are also eligible.
- Language Proficiency: Applicants must be proficient in English and able to articulate their ideas clearly in a personal statement and a short video.
- Availability: Applicants must commit to attending the full six-day program.
Application Process
To apply for the ADEL Program, candidates must:
- Online Application: Complete the application form available online.
- YouTube Video: Create a one-minute YouTube video (visible only to those with the link) addressing the following:
- Introduction
- Motivations behind their work
- Impact of their work (organization, community, etc.)
- How they plan to contribute to and benefit from the ADEL program
- Personal Statement: Submit a statement in English, not exceeding 250 words.
- Resume/CV: Provide a PDF format resume or CV, not exceeding two pages.
