Accountants and bookkeepers and Auditors What they do:

  1. Compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete. Perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. May also check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other workers.
  2. Operate computers programmed with accounting software to record, store, and analyze information.
  3. Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes.
  4. Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.

Financial Manager 

  1. Plan, direct, or coordinate accounting, investing, banking, insurance, securities, and other financial activities of a branch, office, or department of an establishment.
  2. Establish and maintain relationships with individual or business customers or provide assistance with problems these customers may encounter.
  3. Oversee the flow of cash or financial instruments.
  4. Plan, direct, or coordinate the activities of workers in branches, offices, or departments of establishments, such as branch banks, brokerage firms, risk and insurance departments, or credit departments.
