Physiotherapy

Program Details

Physical therapy was first designed as a treatment for wounded troops during World War I, but educational and professional options for those interested in the field have expanded since then. Physical therapists collaborate with doctors and counselors to help patients recover from physical injuries, diseases, limits, and impairments. They plan workouts and may employ heat, cold, electrical, sound, and/or water technologies to alleviate discomfort and stimulate muscles. Physical therapists often focus on injury rehabilitation, although they may also specialize in sports therapy, orthopedics, or pediatrics.
