Four for regular and four for extension
Admission to regular undergraduate courses is based on the Ethiopian Higher Education Entrance Certificate Examination (EHEECE) scores, the student’s preference, and the capacity of Departments/Schools/Centers. The basic admission criterion for the regular program is successful completion of the common freshman courses, subject to academic performance assessment, and being physically and mentally healthy.
Students must take and pass all the required modules to satisfy the requirements for graduation. Other requirements might be set by specific University graduation requirements, including; score a CGPA and MGPA of at least 2.00 and pass the comprehensive examination. A student who has ‘F’ grade in any of the courses can’t graduate unless the grade is removed. Students with “C–” and “D” grades in professional courses are NOT eligible for graduation.

Carrier Direction
Conduct routine medical laboratory testing for disease diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. Working under the supervision of a medical technologist is possible.
On the job, you would:
- Do chemical analyses of body fluids such as blood or urine using a microscope or an automatic analyzer to discover anomalies or diseases, and enter the results into a computer.
- Using particular mechanical or electrical devices, analyze the results of tests or experiments to confirm adherence to standards. Set up, maintain, calibrate, clean, and test medical laboratory equipment for sterility.
