Health science refers to a broad range of disciplines concerned with the provision of health care to humans and animals through the use of science, engineering, mathematics, and technology. In other words, it is the application of knowledge from pure science and other associated sources to practical and clinical activities in order to preserve and promote the health of living beings. Health science branches are essentially limitless, encompassing traditional and conventional Western medicine as well as alternative and folk medicine. In a broad sense, it can even involve spiritual healing procedures.
